Common Scents for Dogs

I am often asked, “What oils would you use for…”   First, I consider the health and history of the animal. Then I offer the oils to animals and allow them to choose.  Given the opportunity, animals will show us what they like and what is helpful for them.  With that said, below are common essential oils used for common concerns.  Remember that with essential oils less is more, always use caution and always dilute!

Wound & Skin Care:  Roman Chamomile, Carrot Seed, Geranium, Helichrysum, Lavender, Niaouli*,Sweet Marjoram*, Thyme linalol,  (Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and Calendula are also excellent, though not essential oils.)

Ear Infections:   Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Niaouli, Bergamot
