Everyone always asks what "happened" to her when we appear in public wearing the wrapper, and I get skeptical looks sometimes after explaining. I received this "look" from Desi's new Vet, a brand new DVM, upon our last visit when Desi showed up for her appt. wearing the wrapper. We started our appt. on the table wearing the wrap while Desi had a few checks. Upon receiving that skeptical look, I took the wrap off. As the Dr. reached to touch Desi, she growled and snapped at her. Just like Dr.Jekyll/Mr. Hide! Dr. K. jumped back and said, "Well, that's as much proof as I need. Put it back on." With the wrapper back on, Desi was able to tolerate the rest of the exam, as well as her shots, with ease. I also did some of the long strokes on her ears before resuming, and watched her respiration calm and her muscles relax a bit.
